Abstrakt
Początek XXI w. był okresem w którym nadal znacząca część organizacji borykała się z dużą liczbą prostych i powtarzalnych procesów. Punktem zwrotnym tej sytuacji, było pojawienie się -około roku 2000 – technologii w postaci zrobotyzowanej automacji procesów (Robotic Process Automation, RPA).. O dynamice i skali rozwoju RPA najlepiej świadczy to, że wielkość jej globalnego rynku w 2021 r. została oszacowana na ponad 2 mld USD, co w porównaniu z rokiem 2000 oznaczało wzrost o ponad 160% (Statista Research Department, 2021). Jednak automacja, jest technologią która posiada określone granice i ekstrema. Dotyczą one zarówno typu rozwiązania, zakresu i wyników działania, narzędzi, jak i skutków oraz korzyści czy kosztów jej stosowania. Równocześnie wymienione ograniczenia tworzą przestrzeń dla rozwoju nowych i prekursorskich koncepcji, choćby takich jak hiperautomacja. W praktyce jest ona pojęciem, które wykazuje silną korelację ze sztuczną inteligencją, przemysłem 4.0, RPA i automacją. Ponadto, jej rozwój jest silnie determinowany rozwojem hiperłączności. Niemniej jednak na gruncie teorii hiperautomacja jest zagadnieniem, które obecnie znajduje się w fazie naukowej konceptualizacji.
