The Framework of Cloud Business Process Management Model
Abstrakt
Business Process Management faces many barriers. Some of them are related to employee resistance to change, poor decision-making, lack of adequate IT systems, limitations of the IT solutions they have or financial constraints. Cloud computing, due to its properties of economic, organizational, managerial and technical nature, can help overcome the difficulties of Business Process Management both at the stage of implementation and execution. The analysis of the literature indicates the existence of ambiguity of concepts and the lack of indication of how to manage business processes using the cloud in practice. In response to this, the Framework of BPM Model based on Cloud Computing was developed and subjected to preliminary verification with the participation of experts from the Polish insurance and financial market. The Framework is the own concept that addresses both theoretical and practical aspects of Business Process Management based on Cloud Computing. The purpose of the Framework in a scientific perspective is to establish nomenclature and definitions and to define an approach to BPM using Cloud Computing. In the practical perspective, the final goal is to support management practitioners by showing how to organize, how to implement and how to execute BPM based on Cloud Computing. The article presents the features, assumptions, structure, directions of the Framework development and the results of its preliminary verification.
